About Lights of Love

As the holidays approach, our thoughts turn to those we love – our family and friends whose presence adds to the joy of the season and those who are no longer with us but whose lives have left an imprint on our hearts. Remembering our loved ones and including them in our observances keeps them alive in our hearts and celebrates their legacy that continues to live on. 

The Home Nursing Agency Foundation Lights of Love tribute event invites you to “shine your own special light” for someone you love. Through LIGHTS OF LOVE, you can honor or remember a loved one by sponsoring a light on a virtual tree and sharing a personal tribute dedication. All donors receive a small token of remembrance, and those who give $100 or more can receive a 3-D printed LIGHTS OF LOVE ornament! This 3-D printed ornament has a unique starburst pattern in the background and can be customized to include the year or a tribute “In loving memory” with your loved one’s name. Please allow three weeks for production. To raise awareness and as a visual reminder of tribute gifts, white lights (for Family Hospice) and blue lights (for Grief Services) adorn trees in Altoona.

Your support of LIGHTS OF LOVE benefits:

• Family Hospice – Meeting physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of individuals with a life-limiting illness and supporting their caregivers.
• Bereavement Support Groups – Free peer support groups for individuals after the loss of a loved one.
• Healing Patch Children’s Grief Program – Free support for children, families, and young adults who have suffered the death of a loved one. This is provided through family sessions with peer support groups, in-school services, community education, and a lending library of resources.
